Google is poised to introduce a new feature known as Assistant with Bard on its Pixel devices, and recent insights from tipsters on the Google News Telegram group, along with an official demo video from the Pixel Tips app, shed light on its functionalities. Similar to Google Assistant, users can trigger Assistant with Bard by long-pressing the power button, launching the app manually, or using the 'Hey Google' wake word. The AI-powered chatbot responds to voice queries and on-screen keyboard inputs, even allowing users to attach screenshots. According to Android tinkerer Mishaal Rehman, the anticipated release date for Assistant with Bard is aligned with the March 2024 Pixel Feature Drop. However, there's a notable restriction – the feature seems exclusive to Pixel devices equipped with Tensor chipsets, excluding models like Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, and the rumored Pixel Fold 2.
