US-based merchants can now label themselves as "small businesses" on Google, making it easier for customers to identify local stores. The small business attribute will be applied automatically based on factors like web traffic and product offerings, and it can be managed through Merchant Center or Business Profile settings. The knowledge panel in Google Search will display additional shopping details, including reviews, shipping policies, and deals. These updates will roll out in several countries. Additionally, Google is launching Product Studio, an AI-powered tool that allows merchants to enhance product images, remove backgrounds, and create personalized visuals.
