The Parliamentary Committee on Empowerment of Women has summoned representatives from Google, Meta, and X for a meeting on August 19 to address online safety and cyber crimes against women. Officials from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology will also participate in this session. The committee aims to scrutinize how these platforms manage online abuse, content moderation, and cooperate with law enforcement regarding cyber crime cases impacting women.
