India can become $7-tn economy by 2030 if states stay small business-friendly

India's Finance Ministry has reported that the country's GDP has grown from USD 1.9 trillion to USD 3.7 trillion, making it the 5th largest economy globally. The country is expected to become the third-largest economy in the world within three years, with a GDP of USD 5 trillion. The government aims to become a developed country by 2047, focusing on reforms with state government participation. Domestic demand has driven a 7% growth rate in the last three years, with investments in infrastructure and manufacturing. The report predicts India's growth above 7% in the coming years, with priority reforms in skilling, learning outcomes, health, energy security, MSMEs compliance, and labor force gender balance. India aims to become a USD 7 trillion economy by 2030, despite challenges like geoeconomic fragmentation, energy security trade-off, AI, and policy priorities, despite reasonable assumptions.
