At the 46th Reliance Industries AGM, Chairman Mukesh Ambani revealed updates for Jio 5G, indicating that prepaid and postpaid plans might debut by December. Jio AirFiber, a wireless internet service, is set to launch on September 19. Reliance Jio began deploying 5G in October with plans to achieve nationwide coverage by December 2023. According to reports, Ambani has announced that census towns in India have been covered by 96% and has promised to meet the demands for 5G broadband across the country starting in December. Jio's impressive 5G rollout speed and domestic stack implementation have made it a global leader in the industry. Jio has around 85% of operational 5G cells in India. Ambani emphasized the seamless transition from 4G to 5G without additional capital expenditure. JioAirFiber will launch on September 19 to achieve up to 150,000 daily connections.
