L&T Technology Services (LTTS) is partnering with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to assist global automotive manufacturers in transitioning to Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs) using generative artificial intelligence (AI). Through AWS, LTTS supports vehicle manufacturers in expediting the development of next-gen SDVs with tailored safety and security solutions, encompassing digital cockpit, connected services, and autonomous driving. They have reduced product launch time by 25% by utilizing virtual workbenches on AWS to develop and test new software for vehicle electronic control units (ECUs). SDVs heavily rely on software for their operations, improving safety and efficiency through sensors and computer systems. Over-the-air software updates from the cloud enhance safety, security, entertainment, and convenience. LTTS is committed to training 1,000 engineers in generative AI with AWS by March 2024 to drive innovation in the automotive industry.
