Microsoft reopens U.S. nuclear power plant for AI power

A plan by Microsoft (MSFT.O) opens a new tab to use the restart of a Three Mile Island nuclear reactor to help power its expanding data centers, where the tech giant houses its AI chips and models. Site owner Constellation announced late last week a deal with the software company to trigger the reopening. Microsoft promises to take 100 percent of the energy generated for at least 20 years.
