MIT’s soft robotic system is designed to pack groceries

MIT’s CSAIL developed RoboGrocery for grocery stores and tested it by placing 10 unknown objects on a grocery conveyer belt. Its vision system detects the objects, and when the grasper touches the (example) grapes, it determines that they are, in fact, delicate and therefore should not go at the bottom of the bag. It proved that robotic bagging can’t be too far behind.
