New MSME belts to cater to local cos

The MSME department plans to develop new industrial areas in various regions, including Dewas, Dhar, Mandsaur, Ujjain, and Ratlam, in the Indore and Ujjain divisions. These areas will cater to the needs of local industries seeking to establish facilities with essential infrastructure support. The state government has proposed 26 industrial belts across the state, with an estimated cost of approximately Rs 293.27 crore for developing 27 state-owned industrial belts. Additionally, the District Industries Trade Centre in Ujjain is developing a new industrial area in Gogapur village to attract investment from around 300 small and medium-sized industries. The state government targets investments of Rs. 18,000 crore in various industries, generating jobs for 24,000-25,000 people. Poor road infrastructure in industrial areas remains an issue, with ongoing efforts to address it.
