Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) captures a full spectrum at each pixel, aiding material analysis and medical visualization. Professor Hiroshi Takemura's team developed a rigid endoscope system for HSI, using a supercontinuum light source and an acoustic-opto tunable filter. Their breakthrough enables non-destructive imaging, promising advancements in medical procedures and industrial inspection, leading to improved understanding and quality of life.
