OpenAI’s ChatGPT voice now available for everyone

OpenAI has expanded ChatGPT by introducing a voice feature for all users on Android and iOS. This update allows users to interact with ChatGPT using voice instead of text. Greg Brockman, OpenAI's co-founder and former president, announced the release on X, stating that ChatGPT Voice is now available for all free users. The update includes five different voices—Breeze, Ember, Juniper, Cove, and Sky—which users can select from the settings menu. Although ChatGPT's voices sound more human compared to other AI voice assistants, the free version has limitations, such as the inability to provide real-time information on current events and news. The free version uses the GPT 3.5 model, while the GPT-4 Turbo is available for GPT Plus subscribers at $20 a month. Currently, OpenAI has temporarily paused the ChatGPT Plus subscription service due to capacity constraints, with plans to resume the service soon.
