Qualcomm Technologies has launched its 10G Fiber Gateway Platform, aiming to revolutionize home Wi-Fi networks with Wi-Fi 7 technology. This platform integrates 10G Passive Optical Network (PON) technology and multi-gigabit Wi-Fi 7 connectivity to provide seamless, high-speed connectivity and low-latency access to various devices within the home. Qualcomm's Service Defined Wi-Fi technology offers unified data flow management, ensuring subscriber performance expectations for 10G fiber are met, even with diverse devices and applications. Qualcomm has partnered with US telco Charter and UK telco EE to deploy Wi-Fi 7 offerings. Charter plans to introduce next-gen routers with Wi-Fi 7 capabilities to its Spectrum Internet users in 2024, enhancing residential and SMB connectivity experiences. EE will incorporate Qualcomm's Wi-Fi 7 platforms into its in-home hardware, aiming to provide cutting-edge connectivity to its broadband customers.
