The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) has introduced the Express Loan for Machinery, offering term loan assistance up to Rs 1 crore to both manufacturing and services sector MSMEs for machinery/equipment purchases. The scheme, characterized by an automated and system-driven process, is available to GST-registered MSMEs with valid Udyam registration and filed IT returns for the last 3 years. Speaking at a consultation meeting, SIDBI's CMD, Sivasubramanian Raman, highlighted the imminent growth of Electric Vehicles (EVs) and SIDBI's readiness to support the EV industry with comprehensive credit offerings. Attendees advocated for cash flow and GST transaction-based loans for MSME operations, urged SIDBI to address foreclosure and prepayment charges, and highlighted the government's significant allocation of Rs 9000 crore in CGTMSME and CGFMU funds.
