Small Business Development Center to host program on USDA grant program

The UGA Small Business Development Center at Georgia Southern University is offering a free training program on the Value Added Producer Grant (VAPG) program to agricultural-based producers, business owners, and entrepreneurs. The program, in partnership with USDA Rural Development, the Georgia Department of Agriculture, Georgia Grown, Georgia’s Rural Center, and private grant writers, aims to educate producers on the opportunities available through the VAPG program. The program helps agricultural producers enter value-added activities, generate new products, create and expand marketing opportunities, and increase producer income. The program will be offered in person on February 13, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Georgia Grown Innovation Center in Metter, GA, and an online session on February 7, 2024, at 2 p.m. for those unable to attend in person.
