YouTube is increasing the minimum age for users to live stream alone on the platform to 16 years old. This means creators must be 16 or older to be able to live stream on the platform. Previously, users under 13 could only live stream with an adult present. With the updated policy, all users aged 13 to 15 will be required to be 16 or older. YouTube warns that repeated rule violations could result in content removal or account termination. However, creators under 16 can still stream with adult supervision, as long as the adult is visibly present in the live stream.
