TechCrunch is adding a new Real World AI Stage at Disrupt 2026. The event runs October 13 to 15 at Moscone West in San Francisco. Organizers say AI has grown so fast that one stage is no longer enough, so they are splitting the program. The existing AI Stage continues as before. The new stage focuses on where digital systems meet the physical world. That includes autonomous hardware moving beyond self-driving cars into public spaces, battlefields, homes and even efforts to bring extinct species back. Confirmed speakers include Nvidia’s head of Physical AI, Les Karpas, who will discuss the data gap holding back general-purpose robots. Shield AI’s CTO will cover fail-safe systems for defense and industry. Colossal Biosciences CEO Ben Lamm will talk about de-extinction technology and the role of AI in modern biology. Other participants include FieldAI and Foxglove. More speakers are still to be announced.
