A two-day vendor development program for the MSME sector kicked off at the Indian Institute of Packaging, organized by the MSME Development and Facilitation Office under the central government. With the MSME sector being a focal point for the state government, the program aims to leverage marketing as a strategic tool for the business development of MSMEs, which were severely impacted during the COVID-19 pandemic. The central government has introduced procurement and marketing support schemes to enhance the sector's marketability. The vendor development program aims to unite MSME stakeholders, government departments, and CPSUs to tackle challenges and promote collaboration. Key buyers like GRSE, Hindustan Aeronautics, Bharat Heavy Electronics, Eastern Railways, Coal India, and DVC participated, highlighting potential opportunities for MSME industries.
