Vietnam has made history by enacting the world’s first standalone Digital Technology Law, approved by 441 out of 445 National Assembly deputies. Effective January 1, 2026, this law aims to foster 150,000 digital tech firms by 2035 and introduces numerous incentives, including up to 50% subsidies for startups on technology acquisition. It provides a legal framework for AI, digital assets, and cybersecurity, establishing Vietnam's position as a key player in the global digital economy.
